A useful report includes:

  • The app version and build number, and whether you are using a development or TestFlight build.
  • Your device model and iOS, iPadOS or macOS version.
  • The reach, quest and what you were trying to do.
  • The steps before the problem, what you expected and what happened instead.
  • Whether it happens every time, and whether you use touch, keyboard or a controller.
  • An optional screenshot, with personal information cropped out.

Start with a description. Only send a journey export if it is useful for your support case and you choose to share it; a full export contains much more information than optional progress analytics.

Keep a copy before changing anything.

Do not delete or reinstall the app, start a new journey or remove save files as a first troubleshooting step. Those actions can put progress at risk. Keep an export and contact support first.

  1. Open the hat menu, then Settings.
  2. Under Take your journey with you, choose Export journey.
  3. Save the .witchjourney file somewhere you can find again, outside the app’s local storage. Exporting leaves the current journey unchanged.
  4. To restore an export, choose Import journey and review the offered journey before adopting it. The app keeps the previous journey in Recovery when the import succeeds.

If the app shows a startup recovery screen, Save points & recovery lets you review available local copies. Check the reach and progress before selecting one. This picker is not part of ordinary Witch Primer Settings. A recovery copy on the same device is not a substitute for an export kept elsewhere.

Witch Primer keeps its journey locally. It does not provide automatic cross-device or cross-game iCloud continuation. If you choose iCloud Drive or another service as the export destination, that service stores the file under its own settings. Do not assume current Witch Feywilds releases understand Witch Primer’s newer rewards.

If a save cannot be read, preserve the app and any exports. Tell support what the recovery screen says before trying further changes. Recovery depends on a usable retained copy; it cannot be promised in every case.

A few useful first steps.

Knowing a spell and preparing it are separate steps. Read its Grimoire entry, check the ingredients you carry and prepare it in an available slot. Clothing can affect your available magic.

Your Field Journal records promises and lets you change focus. Wayfinder needs a prepared slot and Witch Moss; it offers a short glimpse of a useful direction without solving the task.

The route runs Foxwood → Winding → Bracken → Briar → Rime → Stonefrost → Howlglass → Hushpine. Hushpine is this adventure’s final reach. Its closed northern gate is intentional; previous paths remain open.

The current play environment.

Witch Primer is developed for iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 26 or later, and Mac with macOS 26 or later. English is the current game language. Public App Store availability and the final supported-device listing are still ahead.

iPhone and iPad use landscape touch controls. Mac provides keyboard movement and on-screen controls. Extended game controllers can move, cast, interact and operate common journal and Grimoire commands. Some trading, settings, scrolling and older activities still need touch or a pointer; complete controller-only play is not claimed.

An Apple TV version has been explored separately; this page does not announce an Apple TV release. See accessibility notes for motion settings and current limitations.

Your choice, under the hat.

In Settings → Help shape the woodland, turn off Share journey progress to stop optional analytics and request removal of previously shared progress. If removal is pending, open the app online again and check its status message.

Declining sharing does not limit the game. Read the privacy policy for the exact data, retention and deletion behaviour.
